StyleSnap transmits nothing. It has no server, no accounts, no ads. All style inspection happens locally on the page you activate it on, and the overlay is removed the moment you press Esc or toggle it off. The only thing StyleSnap keeps is the history of elements you pinned yourself — it stays in your own browser.
StyleSnap does not collect or transmit any personal data, browsing data or usage data. It has no
analytics inside the extension and sets no cookies. The elements you pin are kept locally through
the browser's own extension storage (chrome.storage.local): each entry holds the
selector, the CSS of that element and the host name of the site you pinned it on, so the list
survives a page reload. It holds no page content, no URLs you visited and nothing you typed, it
never leaves your device, and it is deleted when you remove the extension or press Clear history.
If a future version adds optional anonymous usage statistics, this policy and the Chrome Web Store
data disclosure will be updated first.
activeTab — grants access to the current tab only when you click the StyleSnap icon, so the inspector can read the styles of the page you are viewing.scripting — injects the inspector overlay into that tab, only after your click.storage — keeps your own inspection history in the browser, on your device only.StyleSnap requests no broad host access (<all_urls>), runs nothing in the background,
